Dan is a photographer and facilitator who has found inspiration in all kinds of places from Balsall Heath to Lebanon. Some of his work includes engaging with communities to produce portrait series, landscape photography and facilitating others in their exploration of photography by running workshops like this one.
Camo’s work finds its roots in the natural world. With a particular interest in plant-life, she owns an allotment which is the source of materials used to produce hand-made botanical inks. She encourages those she works with to try out something new and have fun as a way to boost confidence and tell their own unique story.
Bohdan is a poet and educator who has performed his work internationally at various poetry festivals. He also has considerable experience as a facilitator, teaching poetry in a wide range of settings including as a lecturer at the University of Birmingham and as lead tutor for the Roundhouse Poetry Collective.
Keara is on board as a Shadow Artist for this project, helping out at workshops and behind the scenes. Still fairly early on in her creative journey, she is currently exploring her voice and identity through the mediums of poetry, photography, jewellery making, and tie-dye. She finds inspiration in every aspect of life, but especially in nature.
Sundragon Pottery is the largest open-access ceramics studio in the West Midlands. They offer a range of courses, workshops and memberships to suit all ages and abilities for anyone looking to give pottery a go. Based in Birmingham’s Old Print Works, it is home to many experienced potters including Becky Belcher and Fiona Scanlan.
